Chargers Training Camp is ALMOST HERE.

That’s right … Chargers Training Camp is FOUR DAYS AWAY.

Besides the obvious (How does Philip Rivers look? Is the offense meshing? Does the defense have enough playmakers, especially in the secondary? Will Manti Te’o live up to the hype?), here are three things I’m looking forward to seeing:

  • Mike McCoy. We’ve seen glimpses of the new head coach in minicamp and OTAs, but we honestly haven’t seen much. I can’t wait to get a better look at him. So far, he’s shown characteristics different than former head coach Norv Turner … Where Turner always hovered around the offense and inserted himself into most plays, McCoy stands his distance when necessary and lets his coordinators do their thing. He observes a lot. Players say he doesn’t care about the past and has no loyalties or favorites … It’s truly a “What have you done for me lately?” mentality. That, my friends, will make the competition very interesting. Look for players (even veterans) to feel the pressure. McCoy also has kept practices very up-tempo. Not a lot of breaks or downtime. How does he sustain that pace for six weeks?
  • Attention to detail. This is supposed to be Mike McCoy’s mojo. So … What does that look like? How intricate is the schedule? Have changes been made to the food, the drinks, the locker room, the hotel situation, like he said? Obviously, we aren’t privy to a lot of behind-the-scenes information … but SOME of it we (should) see … or hear about. πŸ˜‰
  • What does the new media trailer look like? That’s right, the Chargers have torn down their old media center and put up a new trailer. Since we shared the last one with special animal friends, this one *has* to be an automatic upgrade. I can’t wait to see it.
The old trailer.

The old trailer.

There’s my list. Now you tell me … What are YOU excited to see?

  1. I’m excited to see who steps up and TAKES that SS position. I’m excited to see how well our new O-line will look under highly touted Offensive Line Guru Joe D’. I’m excited to see how Whiz can utilize our deep receiving core. I’m get excited to see who will surprise and earn a roster spot during camp. I’m excited to see Danny Woodhead & the rest of our FA pickups in Charger Jerseys. I’M EXCITED!!

    1. Richard, I will admit that Joe D’Alessandris has me intrigued as well. He is so fiery when he coaches and the O-Line is WORKED after every practice. I love watching him run around the field. And yes, also excited to see what Ken Whisenhunt has up his sleeve. πŸ™‚

From groups of 5 to 10,000 a car service can handle any volume of
travelers for multiple types of events. MOT testing fees depends on the type of vehicle being tested.
The owners can pull up at the station even if they sense a slight
    problem.
